Orphanage
Victor Nyaribo (left) and Zachary Maina (right) are the first two children in the orphanage of Pastor Geoffrey Mon`gare.
Victor is 7 years old. His single mother died and he lived with the grandparents. Nevertheless, the grandparents were not able to give him enough food, nor to pay the school fee.
Zachary is 9 years old. He was the first child to be admitted to the orphanage in 2015.
To meet the needs of these children, Geoffrey began to build an orphanage. Here 16 children should find a new home.
During my visit in 2013, the bare brickwork was half-finished. Whenever money was given, the construction could continue.
Thanks to many supporters, the orphanage was completed in 2014.
At the beginning of 2015 Zachary and a supervisor moved in. Viktor came in 2016.
For each orphan about 124 € per month is required. 14 more children could be taken in if more supporters would be inspired to support this orphanage.
