Pastor Geoffrey Mongare is pastor of the "Rock Fellowship Ministries" in Githurai, one of the many slums in Nairobi.

He founded the community himself when he came from his home town Eldoret to Nairobi. He began to hold worship services in a rented room.
Being attracted by his singing to God, a person has come and remained in worship.

Today, his congregation has about 100 members.

​

In summer 2014, his wife, Mary, fell seriously ill and died a little later. This was one of the most difficult times for him.

​

A year later, Geoffrey got married again. His new wife is Benadatte and she supports him in his various duties as a pastor.
