Visit of Mr. Mwadime, Kenyan Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, at Our School in Githurai

On August 1st, 2025, the Kenyan Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, Mr. Mwadime, visited our school in Githurai, Nairobi.
His visit followed a prior meeting on July 1st, 2025 in Stuttgart, during a conference hosted by Südwestmetall. The focus of the event was the promotion of labour migration of Kenyan skilled workers to Germany.
At this conference, Franco Zipperling gave a presentation about the development and educational mission of our school. His talk sparked great interest from Mr Mwadime, who expressed a strong desire to see the school in person. The invitation to visit was extended by Mr Zipperling — and kindly accepted by Mr. Mwadime.
Mr. Mwadime spent several hours at the school and took the opportunity to gain a comprehensive impression of our teaching, facilities, and school culture.

He was particularly impressed by the enthusiasm and positivity of our students, describing it as a strong sign of the outstanding leadership at the school – one that, in his words, "truly cares for the well-being of the children."

Mr. Mwadime also showed great appreciation for the school's technical facilities. From the computer lab and science lab to the solar power system with battery storage, enabling the school’s independent power supply – he praised the forward-thinking and resourceful setup.

During the visit, Pastor Mong'are presented the plans to expand the school by establishing a vocational training center on a plot of land opposite the current campus. The necessary property is intended to be purchased soon.

Franco Zipperling (center) and Pastor Mong'are (right) present Mr. Mwadime with the long-term vision behind the school, which has been developed over the past 13 years. They also outline the next steps for the school's continued growth.
This includes the introduction of German language classes as well as the planned construction of a vocational training center opposite the school.

This visit was a great honour for our school and a clear sign that educational institutions like ours play an important role in international cooperation and development.
