„Pilot“ or „teacher“ or „doctor“ or „lawer“ or, or, or. With shining eyes those words come out oft the mouth of theses kids.
In 2013 I am sitting in a classroom of the shool from pastor Mon`gare in Eldoet, Kenya. I asked these 12-15 year old kids what they want to become in the future
In this school are children whose parents are simply too poor to be able to pay school fees for a state school. Most of them are children of single mothers or orphanes.
To this day, I am touched by the joy, confidence and hope of these children.
Pastor Geoffrey Mon`gare
Geoffrey Mon`gare is Kenyan and pastor of the Church of the Rock community in Githurai, one of the poorest neighborhoods in the capital of Nairobi.
More than 15 years ago, he received the call from God to look after the poorest children in Kenya. Geoffrey has begun to set up a school in Eldoret, where he has been born.
Starting with these small beginnings today two schools with more than 300 children as well as a small orphanage have emerged.
Education is future.
This simple truth is valid throughout the world. Education is the key to shaping one's life and future.
